Coming off a year of stellar releases, Tokyo based Bugseed finds a home at Raund Haus with ‘Sublime’. This will be Bugseed’s second foray in the US following his 2018 release ‘Far East Joints’, with Cold Busted. He first explained this album as, “these beats are freshness and crazy ill beats”, which sums up this journey in beats perfectly.

Finding more work in melody and instrumentation than prior releases, Bugseed comes and shows that there is plenty of space to grow and evolve as a beat maker. Very reminiscent of his signature boom bap sound, but all new territories being reached musically, this is an excellent outing with one of Japan’s finest.
